My Logo Ideas

The first logos that I have wanted to re design is the Apple Safari logo. If I am going to do this logo I will have a safari hat with the Apple logo on it to show that it is for the Apple engine. I might also put in a cursor to indicate that it is the icon to click on for the internet. Another logo that I am thinking of doing is the McDonalds logo. Since the golden arches are iconic I will keep them in, however I am going to put a little twist on the design, I am thinking about putting the original burger man that was the first mascot for McDonalds under the golden arches, I also want to do the logo in a different font because I think I can make the name pop out more. My final logo that I want to re design is the Hard Rock Cafe logo. This one is going to be the most likely out of the three. The first thing that I am going to change is the dimension of the font. I am going to make it three dimensional so that it will pop out more to the eye. The next thing that I am going to do is add in some guitars in the background, because one of the most important instruments in rock music is the guitar. I am then going to make the background of all of it have some nice finish work like flames or a microphone. This is what I am thinking about doing for these logos.

What is your computer experience: I have worked with all Microsoft programs and I have aslo worked with Photoshop as well as with Lightwave.

Do you have experience with Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator? (None, beginner, intermediate, advanced...etc.) Please be specific: I am a beginner at Photoshop, but I have never worked with Illustrator.

What do you hope to learn from taking this class?
I hope to learn how to make my own logos and how to improve logos as well as work more and deeply understand Photoshop as well as Illustrator.
